I scream, you scream, we all scream for…health food?

I’m on a new health kick packing bento-ish lunches 🙂 I’ll try to remember to post photos and a description each day so mabe someone else can see how awesome it is. I’m also back to working out each day, alternating between walking and biking. If I can remember, I’ll post updates with that as well 😀 Weight loss so far: 2 lbs in 1 week! Without starvation!

Pioneer Day carnival

Our area of the church had a carnival this morning for Pioneer Day. I honestly have no idea what it was like…Don’t get me wrong, I was there (we actually, and Toney brought Izzy) but I volunteered to do facepainting. Apparently when you are the only person dressed up and decked out, kids want you (more particularly girls) to paint their faces…just.like.yours. I’m glad I brought my Spirit Gum and Gen stones! Anywho…here’s a few pics of my (not yet complete) outfit.

Samsung Captivate vs iPhone 3Gs

Alrighty. So as you may know, I am a bit tech-obsessed. Especially over new phone technology.  I want a phone that can do it all, but lets me choose what I want to do and how to do it. That, for me, is not the iPhone. I can’t change the layout of the screen or icons, I can’t use widgets (apps the constantly run on the screen in place of an icon), I can’t store things straight to the memory like I could a flash drive, the list goes on. Enter the Android OS phones. Simply amazing. The software is open-source for the Android OS. What does this mean for everyday people? It means that developers can use anything (both hardware and software) that the phone is capable of and create the most amazing applications! I’ll post some screen shots of how my phone looks before and after a few free applications, the difference is amazing. Enough about the software, Lets Get to the actual hardware. I took the following specifications from PhoneArena. In my opinion, the iPhone (3Gs for this purpose) has been demolished! ***insert Mortal Kombat theme song here***

Best. Photo. Ever.

This guy made my day. For the non-geeks, he was dressed as The Doctor, from Doctor Who. More photos at my gallery for those who were there.

Bad Ink

Remember my post about getting my tattoo finished after being forever with it looking bad? I edited it to reflect my (yet again) bad tattoo experience. Read it HERE. I also wrote an email to the owner of the shop to complain. Something I NEVER do, if that is any indication of how displeased I was. I apologize for the language, it’s as close as I get to swearing these days. Heres the email:

Carlos,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how dissatisfied we are with Al. He is completely unprofessional, and to be honest he is a douche. Not only did he miss our first consultation appointment, he wasn’t there for our second sitting on my husbands tattoo. When we did show up later that night to have it finished (and to have mine touched up for splotchy color), he rushed through Toney’s and told us to come back in an hour and a half to fix up mine (we left at 7PM). We went to dinner and came back around 8:15/8:30. His appointment he was working on decided she wanted a larger piece and so he took that rather than asking us if we minded waiting. 11PM a group of kids came in from a Stars game (he was ALMOST done with his appointment) wanting a tattoo. He pulled me aside and asked me to come back “tomorrow” because “he’s offering me cash, and I don’t want to turn him away and send him down the street”. And of course the entire time we were there for both appointments with him, he kept bashing my husbands lack of pain tolerance as well as his choice in motorcycles. He is an egotistic douche-bag. Rather than coming back to him for touch-ups (with cheap ink nonetheless), we will be paying a great artist in Dallas $150 an hour for quality work. I think this goes without saying, but we WILL NOT be sending referrals to him, or InkLab in general, as long as he is employed there.
